I'm not Japanese and I don't speak Japanese so, why am I posting an ad for accommodation on a Japanese noticeboard?
Well, I have worked with quite a few Japanese people and I haven't yet met a messy or irresponsible one (I do understand that probably there's plenty, it's just that the percentage appears to be significantly lower).
And since what I am looking for in a flatmate is someone tidy, responsible and considerate, it occurs to me that a Japanese flatmate could be a perfect fit.
I should probably also admit that I like your country very much and I have recently started to study the language, so I was also thinking that we might be able to help each other with our respective linguistic skills.
The room is small (2.9x2.8m) but has a very convenient built-in wardrobe. It has in it now a queen size mattress but I think it's too big for it as it doesn't leave much room available around it. I would like to get rid of it, but if the person moving in needs it, we can leave it as it is. There's also a couple of small items of furniture that the new flatmate can use if they like (square ottoman, small table). Electricity and internet expenses to share.
Other than that, the flat is fully furnished. Good location, only 5 minutes walk to Rose Bay ferry wharf and less than that to bus stops in New South Head rd. Beautiful harbour promenade and Lynne park practically just outside the door.
The room will be available from March/19.
As for me, I work in a cafe and I am also trying to do some studying (online). I would say that I am fairly quiet, but I do enjoy an intelligent discussion every now and then :)
