Location: Downtown Vancouver, BC (Currently partly remote work)
Starting Date: ASAP
Work hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (1-hr. Lunch 12-1pm)
Compensations: $50,000 + bonus and benefits
Main Job duties:
- Arrange and coordinate shipments (trucking/loading/vessels) and prepare shipping documents for export and domestic sales of logs and lumber. Prepare trade documentation, such as contracts, invoices and shipping documents, etc.
- Perform data entry via SAP/Excel. Verify, allocate and record to appropriate accounts in SAP charges from suppliers, shipping companies and other service agents, and arrange payments. Record and produce sales invoices and verify receipts. Maintain/monitor vendor/customer accounts via SAP/Excel to ensure timely payment and receipt of invoices. Issue parked documents in SAP to the accounting department for posting.
- Record contracts and prepare cost calculations (particulars). Maintain inventory records and prepare monthly inventory reports via SAP/Excel.
- Initiate foreign exchange contracts and control foreign exchange position for goods purchased and sold in foreign currencies.
- Assist in servicing and maintaining good relationship with suppliers and customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Fluent in Japanese and English, both spoken and written (business level)
- Post-secondary education preferably business or accounting diploma.
- Computer literate and proficient in MS-Office.
- Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Strong customer service and business communication skills
- Able to work independently and with strong time management skills
