Head Cook
F/T; $22.60/hr; 40 hours per week
Standard 8-hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 6:00am and 12:00am as required.
Duties:
- Coordinating and overseeing kitchen staff and cooks in managing the preparation of value-added fully cooked meat products, dumplings, Japanese ramen noodles for our foodservice accounts and retail store;
- Ensuring all cooked and prepared food products produced in our facility strictly adhere to recipes and are consistent in quality and presentation;
- Schedule production, order and control inventory of ingredients;
- Assign training duties to various kitchen staff for newly hired employees, and monitor training progress.
Requirements:
- Secondary school completion preferred;
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a professional cook;
- Formal training in culinary arts is an asset;
- Japanese language ability is an asset.
