Chef
Permanent, F/T (40 hours per week), $22.00/hour
Standard 8-hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 9:00am and 12:00am as required.
Duties:
- Cook and maintain fresh sushi rice;
- Prepare sashimi, vegetables, and other ingredients for sushi;
- Select and order fresh ingredients;
- Maintain and sharpen sushi knives;
- Create custom and a la carte sushi rolls;
- Train and instruct cooks and kitchen staff on creating dishes for the restaurant.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of previous experience as a commercial cook;
- Japanese language ability is an asset;
- English language ability is required.
