Baker & Table Cafe is seeking a Baker for their Vancouver location.

Full-time, permanent; $13 per hour; 40 hours per week

Standard 8 hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 5am and 11pm as required.

Duties
- Prepare various kinds of dough for breads and pastries;
- Operate industrial ovens and specialty equipment used in baking goods;
- Bake and decorate all menu items as well as prepare custom orders;
- Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and special functions;
- Determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies;
- Train new kitchen staff.

Requirements:
- Secondary school completion preferred;
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a baker OR have completed a three or four year apprenticeship program OR another college program for bakers;
- Japanese language ability is an asset;
- English language ability is required.
