Tangram Creamery is seeking two Bakers for their Vancouver location.

Full-time, permanent; $12 per hour; 40 hours per week (plus coverage of MSP premium after completion of 3 months probation period)

Standard 8 hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 8am and 11pm as required.

Duties
- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
- Assist in making ice cream and create new ice cream flavors
- Operate machinery
- Bake and decorate all menu items as well as prepare custom orders;
- Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and special functions;
- Ensure quality of products meets established standards
- Draw up production schedule to determine type and quantity of goods to produce
- Purchase baking supplies
- Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods
- Train new kitchen staff.

Requirements:
- Secondary school completion preferred;
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a baker OR have completed a three or four year apprenticeship program OR another college program for bakers;
- Japanese language ability is an asset;
- English language ability is required.
