I’m studying MBA at University of Auckland. We have been given a project to help a small local business to introduce New Zealand made natural pet care products to Japan. My group wants to recruit 5-6 Japaneses who live in Auckland to participate our focus group study.

The criteria are:

1. Japanese who lives in NZ for no more than 3 years

2. Used to own a dog in Japan

3. They must be the main purchase decision maker for the family

The purpose of the focus group study is to get some insights on how Japanese care their dog and how they select pet care products for their pet.

Where?

The study is likely to be held in Business School at University of Auckland.

When?

Depends on the number of responses. Ideally, we would like to held the focus group between end of July and beginning of August.

Length of the study?

The session will take approximately 90 minutes

What is involved in the study?

It consists of structured interviews in which the participants are asked about their perceptions, opinions, beliefs, and attitudes towards pet care product, service, idea, or packaging. There is no right or wrong answer and the participants are free to talk with each other in the group.

There will be a small reward for their participation.

Ideally, we would like the participants to speak some English, but it is not essential, as we can arrange a translator.
