English Language Teacher / Copy editor
I am a native speaker with an MSc from University College London in Biological Archaeology, and a BA from the University of California Los Angeles in Anthropology. During my undergraduate studies, I completed a TEFL Certification. I have since used my Certification to teach both in-person and online classes to a wide age range of students. My previous career was as a biological archaeologist in London. This work, as well as the integration of anatomy and biology in my academic career, has allowed me to use the sciences as a conduit for some of my ESL classes. I have also had the pleasure of teaching Geography and History as more targeted ESL courses. Being able to integrate my education and work experience into my ESL teaching has created a more profound connection to the material and students, which I have found to be integral in delivering classes that engage and inspire.

I also offer copy editing services for text translated into English. I endeavor to ensure that translations are more than grammatically correct. I adjust the language to match the nuance and ethos of the text in ways that native speakers can connect with.
