Responsibilities
• Journal entries and end-of-month reconciliation
• Set up bill payment, reimbursement and wire transfer
• Prepare and analyze financial and statistical statements and reports
• Assist with group consolidation package (financial reporting to parent company)
• Prepare quarterly review and annual audits and assist with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies
• Communicate with auditor and tax firm
• Handling communications with vendors and portfolio companies via email
• Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
• Assist with startup valuation
• Other admin tasks may be assigned
Requirements and skills
• Several years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
• Familiarity with finance regulations (GAAP and preferably J-SOX) and
• Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. XERO)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently on assigned duties
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
• Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines
• At minimum, an associate degree in accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or similar field.
• English / Japanese bilingual preferred
• Work experience in CVC/VC is a huge plus
• Knowledge of group consolidation package is a plus
Work hour
• Approx. 10 hours per week average
