Opening Staff: SALT+CHARCOAL
Salt+Charcoal is a high end Robata Grill Japanese restaurant with a modern touch, featuring Chef/Owner Jiro Iida, former executive chef of Aburiya-Kinnosuke in Midtown Manhattan. We will serve real charcoal grill Robata along with traditional Japanese cuisine and feature a great selection of sake and wine. We seat about 120, have two floors, a full bar and lounge area as well as outside café seating.
We are looking for experienced servers, bartenders, bussers/runners & Host staff. (So far dinner only, but we will be opening for lunch later on)
Servers
* Min.2~3 years of fine dining experience
* Japanese food knowledge (no sushi knowledge necessary; we do not serve sushi)
* Good Sake/wine knowledge
* Japanese/English bilingual ability is a plus but not necessary
* Full time employee preferred
Bartenders
* Min. 2~3 years of busy restaurant/lounge experience
* Good Sake/wine knowledge
* Must be a reliable person with great people skills
* Ability to work in a high volume, high pressure environment while keeping your cool and having a smile on your face
Host staff
* Starting salary of $11 & up DOE
* Japanese/English Bilingual plus but not necessary
* OpenTable experience
* Great communication, telephone and typing skills with fluent English
* Friendly attitude with a great smile
Busser/runner
* Min 2 years experience
* Understanding of English language
* Full time employee preferred
Barback
* Min 2 years busy bar/lounge experiences
* Knowledge of sake/wine +
* Fast and reliable, well organized person to take care of our inventory and stock.
* Full time employee preferred
