Part time Research Assistant in Neuroscience/Neurosurgery

Candidate is expected to have coursework and/or hands-on experience in the area of Biology, Neuroscience, or Medical Sciences, and will join in the research in the Laboratory of Dr. Larry Benowitz on nerve regeneration. Project will involve animal perfusion, tissue sectioning, immunostaining, image quantitation and some molecular biology. Experience in microscopy is a plus. Person will also help manage some mouse lines, maintain good records, troubleshoot new methods (with supervision available) and participate in other routine lab business. Position requires working well with other lab members to maintain productivity.
